Assertive communication training provides a quick, effective, and percussive solution to these and similar difficulties. The goal of the training is to teach participants a communication style that they can confidently explore their thoughts and opinions without offending others. Assertive communication training improves the effectiveness of participants in situations where they have to assert their interests or influence their interlocutor. Candidates will learn about their own influencing and communication styles, their impact on effectiveness, and learn ways to keep their own and their partner’s behavior in the zone of assertiveness.

What is assertive communication??

Assertiveness is a self- and interest-enforcing communication in which the interests and goals of the other party are also taken into account to the maximum. Assertiveness is essentially a communication or even more relational model, the essence of which is openness, honesty. The ability to communicate our own positive and negative emotions, thoughts, and feelings both verbally and non-verbally without experiencing unnecessary anxiety or guilt or violating the dignity of others. Taking responsibility for what happens to us in life.

Expected results

By completing assertive communication training ...

  • from its original style of communication, ‘strengths’ will prevail much more pervasively,
  • the person will understand the specifics of different communication situations and will use the communication tools best suited to different situations or partners
  • it will be much more effective in active (listening)
  • the person will not surrender but will convince you or you will convince others

The methods are used in assertive communication training:

  • individually, in pair and small group exercises
  • test, completion and analysis of a communication questionnaire
    exercises in different situations
  • feedback from a developer, coach
  • interactive trainer presentation - max. 20%
